Product Description

This product has high volume density and good volume stability after high-temperature firing. It can be widely used in industries such as steel refractory, casting, ceramics, etc. Its application in the refractory industry for steel production almost covers the entire process of ironmaking and steelmaking. It can be used as the main component in aluminum carbon, aluminum magnesium carbon, magnesium aluminum carbon, magnesium spinel, and aluminum chromium refractory bricks, as well as introduced as enriched alumina into high alumina amorphous refractory materials.
Our tabular alumina products have the following characteristics:

  • Low water absorption rate can significantly reduce the amount of water added to the casting material, as well as the amount of shaped refractory products and binders added;
  • Low porosity and impurity content can improve the corrosion resistance of refractory materials under various atmospheres;
  • Various specifications of particles have regular shapes and fewer flake like particles, which can effectively improve the flowability of the casting material;
  • Good thermal shock stability can reduce the thermal shock damage caused by changes in working temperature of refractory materials.
  • Suitable for products such as breathable brick cores, large skateboards, three large components, and large medium frequency induction furnace working linings, it can help improve the high-temperature volume stability, thermal shock resistance, corrosion resistance, etc. of refractory materials, improve their service life, and reduce consumption.

There are two types of packaging: one is ton bag packaging, and the other is 25kg woven bag small packaging, which can also be selected according to user needs.

Applications:

  • Shaped Refractory products for steel industry
  • Casting
  • Ceramics

FAQ about Tabular Alumina

Q: What is Tabular Alumina?

A: This product has high volume density and good volume stability after high-temperature firing. It can be widely used in industries such as steel refractory, casting, ceramics, etc. Its application in the refractory industry for steel production almost covers the entire process of ironmaking and steelmaking.

Q: What are the primary applications of Tabular Alumina?

A: In essence, Tabular Alumina is the material of choice wherever extreme temperature, thermal cycling, mechanical stress, abrasion, or chemical corrosion are the primary challenges, particularly in the refractory and advanced ceramics sectors. Its superior properties justify its higher cost compared to calcined or fused aluminas in these demanding applications.
